On Saturday, August 21st, Nest 208 held its annual tag sale on the grounds of St. Michael's Church. The sale was from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., and you could not ask for nicer weather - it was not too hot or cold especially for all of the sales people as well as for the patrons. Next on our schedule is the RIVERWALK FOR CANCER. It will be held on Saturday, September 18th. All participants will gather at the Riverwalk on Division St., Derby near the BJ's store with the walk beginning at 10:00 a.m., following the walk, refreshments will be served at St. Michael's Church Hall, 75 Derby Ave., Derby. Sunday, October 24th, Nest 208 will be celebrating its 100th Anniversary. The festivities will begin with members and friends attending the 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. Michael's Church. Following the Mass, everyone is invited to the church hall for a Champagne and Chocolate Reception. The conclusion of the celebration will be the dinner at Grassy Hill Lodge on Sodom Lane, Derby, beginning with hot and cold hors d'oeuvres. Dinner choices are: Prime Rib, Chicken Cordon Bleu, or Stuffed Shrimp. Music entertainment will be provided by Dennis Polisky and the Maestro's Men. The cost of the dinner is $45.00 per person.
