Donation Made At District Golf Tournament

The annual District IV Golf Tournament took place on Saturday, September 8, at the Chippewa Golf Course. Nest 247, Donora, Pa., was the Tournament’s host. There were 36 golfers participating from the following Nests: Nest, 8 Pittsburgh, Pa.; Nest 41, New Kensington, Pa.; Nest 146, New Castle, Pa.; Nest 182 Ambridge, Pa; and Nest 247.

After golfing, all the participants headed to Nest 247’s Club rooms for a roast beef dinner and awards presentation. The winners were as follows: ladies’ low gross, Cheryl Paterni; senior ladies’ low gross, Angelina Galluze; men’s low gross, Bill Larko; senior men’s low gross, Ron Kozuch; and low net using the Calloway system, Leon Kosakowski. Skill prizes were also given for longest drive, closest to the pin and longest putt. Finally, door prizes were drawn. The door prize winners had a choice from a table of gifts. Each participant won a door prize.

Nest 247 would like to thank all of the vendors and Nests that contributed gifts and sponsored tee ads. It was such a huge success that a $500 contribution was made to the Dr. T.A. Starzynski Scholarship fund.
