LOH Application Advice

Dear Falcons and Falconettes:

It’s that time of year again when Nests submit applications for Legion awards. We need to follow some basic rules to make the approval process go smoothly:

1) Please use the latest application form, which is numbered 110 Rev.5-2005.

2) The Nest President cannot sign the application form as a committee member.

3) Please print your name, then sign. Many times we cannot read the signature written on the application.

4) Any person being considered for a medal can not sign his or her application as a committee member.

In addition to these rules, please take the time to supply supporting information and dates for a Legion of Honor nominee. The written support for some of the members who have given five years of service has been poor in some cases, and we would like to make sure deserving candidates are given a fair chance in the selection process.
