Nest 126 Organizes Annual Holiday Reunion

On December 11, 2006, Nest 126, Elizabeth, N.J., observed its traditional holiday member reunion at B.G. Fields in Westfield, N.J. Musical entertainment was provided by 92-year-old musician John Lenard.

Members observing 25- and 50-year anniversaries of Falcon activity were presented with certificates and pins, which were provided by Polish Falcons of America National Headquarters. Presenting these awards was District I National Director Richard Jasinski.

Among those members receiving their 25-year pin were Stanley Gorski, Joseph Horbacz, John Paster and Joseph Wojton. Receiving their 50-year pins were Michael Green and Thomas Pasterkiewicz. Joseph Cichowski, who was also awarded a 50-year pin, was unable to attend due to illness.

Thomas Giddes Receives Award In Hockey Tournament

Thomas Giddes, a Nest 126, Elizabeth, N.J., member, recently took first-place in a national roller hockey tournament in Feasterville, Pa. Giddes received an award for being the tournament’s Most Valuable Defenseman.

Not only is Giddes an outstanding athlete, but also he has been on the Dean’s List numerous times at Kean University, located in Union, N.J., where he is currently a senior majoring in Physical Education.
