VP Trish: National Golf Recap & Winners

August 21, 2025

The 56th Annual National Golf Tournament is now a fond memory!

Most golfers arrived on Wednesday evening, with several joining us Thursday morning. The golfers were asked to bring socks to donate. The generosity of our golfers warms my heart. There was an 8 ft. banquet table piled 3 ft. high with socks. One golfer brought a big box of socks, and several golfers (and Nest 8) donated cash to Bags and Blessings. In total, there were 173 packages of socks!!! Well over 800 pairs of socks!!!

Each year, the golfers are asked to donate items to a local charity they always impress me with their kindness. Thank you to all of you!

Fortunately, the weather was cooperative both days. It is now hotter than an inferno!

Both courses were quite beautiful, but the Thursday course (Rolling Acres) has personnel issues. Our Members didn’t let any issues interfere with their fun!

One-hundred and thirty-one golfers got through the course in 5 ½ hours which I thought was tremendous.
