On June 1, 2025, Karol Nawrocki won Poland’s presidential election, securing 50.89% of the vote in a closely contested runoff against candidate Rafał Trzaskowski, who received 49.11%. Nawrocki, a 42-year-old historian and head of the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN), was supported by the Law and Justice (PiS) party. The election saw a record voter turnout of 71.63%, reflecting heightened public engagement. Nawrocki will assume office on Aug. 6, 2025, succeeding Andrzej Duda as President of Poland.
Polish Falcons of America has worked closely with President-Elect Nawrocki in his position with IPN. PFA President Kuzma wrote a letter of congratulations to President-Elect Nawrocki.
