It gives me great pleasure to share that Nest 972, Bay City, Mich., presented their first award to Kenneth J. Grzegorczyk. Druh Ken received the Bronze Star of Merit. Nest 972 is a fairly new Nest (2003). They had not presented any awards at all in the past. Nest President, Terry Dora, felt it fitting that Druh Ken be the first. Ken holds the positions of Nest Recording Secretary as well as Nest Financial Secretary. Nest 972 is very active within their community. This is quite an honor for Ken and the Nest. My hope is that the Nest will continue to participate in the awards program. Maybe we can get a few Nest 972 Members to the Golf or Bowling Tournaments???
Those of you active within your Nest or who read our email newsletter know about the work that has been done regarding the Legion of Honor and Star of Merit awards program. My first project last year was to create a spreadsheet for all the Nests (even those who have been dissolved or merged). Lists have been sent to all the Nest Vice Presidents and Presidents. Information regarding the awards program was sent to the few Nests who have not participated.
Thank you to all the Nests who do participate. Those who work hard for the good of the Polish Falcons deserve to be acknowledged and recognized. If you have any questions with our program, please contact me. If any Nest would like to send photos of your awards presentations (or any Nest functions for that matter), please do so. We would love to share them with our other Members.
Our Members (who we have an email address for) were sent a survey regarding the upcoming National Golf Tournament to be hosted by Nest 610, Erie, Pa. Our hope is that the golfers will respond and perhaps this survey will introduce a few Members to our adult tournaments.
