Registrations just keep coming in…I am very excited with the response! Golfers were able to sign up beginning June 1 and as of right now, there are 29 golfers registered.
Hopefully, a few more will sign up that do not fit the senior category (60+) as we need at least eight for each division.
Your shirt size is requested on the application. Please keep in mind that only men’s sizes are being ordered. Ladies, think of this when you mention a size please.
Along with the application, please fill out the waiver form. Registration and form are available here.
Nest 80 sent out letters asking Members, Nests & Districts to support their Nest by sponsoring a hole. The cost is $100 per hole and includes a sign and listing on the sponsor board, as well as supporting Nest 80.
Please click here for the hole sponsor form. You are able to download the application and send it to Nest 80. I am sure if you don’t have a printer, that a note (along with your check) to them will do the job!
The first golf course built in the UK was commissioned by Mary Queen of Scots. The Queen brought the sport of golf over to Scotland from France in the 1550s, building the first course at St. Andrews.
What we now know as mini golf was originally designed for women. As it was considered improper for ladies to hold the club past their shoulders, a putting course was created by the Ladies’ Putting Club of St. Andrews in 1867 to allow them to enjoy a game without swinging the club too far. We’ve certainly come a long way!
