2023 PFA Walking Program

Most people can agree that we all need more exercise, and walking is a great way to improve physical fitness! Start your exercise routine today by joining the PFA Let’s Walk Program! New this year – take a virtual walk around Poland. Each month you will turn in your miles via email. Miles will then be totaled, and we will see which Polish city we get to visit next. You will receive an email each month with a link to different sites in that month’s city that you can visit virtually. At the end of 2023, you will have virtually walked around Poland!

Here is how you can participate:

Record your miles walked each month using the mileage sheet (click to download).

Turn in your miles for each month by the first of the next month. Do this via email to Druhna Chris at cpuskar@polishfalcons.org (i.e. Turn in January mileage on Feb. 1, 2023; turn in February miles on March 1, 2023, etc.).

Druhna Chris will respond with an email that will have a link to the city we reached as a group, and you can check out what wonderful sites that city has to offer.

We will still turn in our yearly 2023 mileage by February 1, 2024 and receive prizes for walking in 2023.

January's Walk

Site #1 – Warka, Poland
Start Date: January 1, 2023
The perfect starting point for our Walk Around Poland in 2023.

Our 2023 walk will begin in Warka, Poland. This is where a special exhibit celebrating the Polish Falcons of America in the United States was officially opened in grand style at the Casimir Pulaski Museum on September 17, 2022. The exhibit was created by the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN) in cooperation with the Pulaski Museum. PFA National President Timothy Kuzma was on hand at the ceremonies to present remarks on behalf of the PFA. The materials for the exhibit came from the PFA archives (donated to IPN in 2019). Since 2019, IPN has been cataloging, digitizing, and taking steps to preserve the archive. The exhibition will be open at the Pulaski Museum until March 2023 and then moved to other museums in Poland. PFA is also discussing the possibility of bringing the exhibit to the U.S. in late 2023 or 2024. Click here to see a video of the museum exhibit. Enjoy your visit.
